How to reach us
From Venice's Marco Polo International Airport, take the 'Alilaguna' shuttle boat that leaves every hour for St. Mark's Square (Piazza San Marco) (travel time approximately 1 hour 20 minutes). Alternatively, take a cab or ACTV bus number 5. On arrival at Piazzale Roma (Venice car terminal), take water bus line 1 or 2 (N after midnight) as far as the 'San Marco/Vallaresso' stop. From here, walk along the alley bearing the same name as far as St. Mark's Square.
Arriving on the A4 tollway, exit at Venezia-Mestre and follow the signs for Venezia/Piazzale Roma. Leave your car in one of the paid parking garages in reach Saint Mark's Square on the vaporetto (line 1 or 2), getting off at the Vallaresso (San Marco) stop. Alternatively, there is water taxi service to San Marco.
After you arrive at Venice's Santa Lucia train station, you will reach Saint Mark's Square on a vaporetto (line 1 and 2 or, after midnight, N), that leave every 10 minutes from the nearby landings (travel time 40 minutes). Get off at the Vallaresso (San Marco) stop and enter Saint Mark's Square. Alternatively, there is water taxi service to San Marco.
From St. Mark's Square
Cross the square, with the Basilica on your right as far as the Procuratie Vecchie. Take the Sottoportego dei Dai, pass the Ponte dei Dai and continue along the alley. You will soon see the entrance of the Royal San Marco Hotel to your right.

The seductive city center atmosphere is enhanced by the cupolas of St. Mark's Basilica and by the majestic presence of the Doge's Palace, the seat of power of the Most Serene Republic, stretching out towards St. Mark's basin and the Riva degli Schiavoni.
From Saint Mark's Square, along the Mercerie (historic calle with innumerable stores), you come to the Rialto with its extraordinary Bridge and the picturesque Market, and, at sunset, you can grant yourself a moment of relaxation with the classic Venetian aperitif, the spritz, in one of the spots of the nearby Erbaria.
Theatres and boutiques
Not far from St. Mark, you will find the prestigious Teatro La Fenice, Teatro Goldoni and the boutiques of Calle larga XXII Marzo, which offer an occasion for luxury shopping of fashion labels (such as Gucci, Versace, Bulgari etc.).
Art and Culture
From Saint Mark's Square, boats depart to the Lido (Venice Film Festival), the Gardens (Art Biennale) and - along the Grand Canal - to the Venice Casino, the ancient Jewish Ghetto, the Cà d’Oro, Palazzo Grassi, the Galleries of the Accademia and the Peggy Guggenheim Foundation.
