19th International Architecture Exhibition - Intelligens. Natural. Artificial. Collective. | La Biennale di Venezia 2025

The 19th International Architecture Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia, curated by Carlo Ratti, will take place from May 10 to November 23, 2025, at the Giardini, the Arsenale, and Forte Marghera. Titled Intelligens. Natural. Artificial. Collective., the exhibition proposes a shift in paradigm: from architecture as climate change mitigation to architecture as adaptation. Ratti calls for a collaboration of multiple forms of intelligence - natural, artificial, and collective - to respond to an increasingly unstable world. With over 750 participants from diverse disciplines, the exhibition breaks away from the traditional figure of the sole author and promotes a more inclusive approach. Venice becomes a living laboratory, with installations spread throughout the city. Sixty-six countries are participating, including new entries such as Azerbaijan, Oman, Qatar, and Togo. The Italian Pavilion, curated by Guendalina Salimei, explores the relationship with the sea. La Biennale aims for carbon neutrality and promotes a circular economy across all its activities.
